What makes Replenish Retreats different?

Woman’s retreats abound, for lithe, fit young woman who think nothing of standing on their head or bending their body into alarming shapes. … and good on them for their ability! But if it’s a few years since you could tie your feet behind your head, perhaps you’re looking for something different.

Lynda has created a day long program designed to appeal to more mature women in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s (and beyond)….. but if you are a younger woman, you are very welcome too!
Here you will find an accepting, supportive space in which to “breathe out” and lay down your burdens, for a day. You may be tired and depleted; unfit or overweight; out of ideas on how to reclaim your health and happiness; confused by conflicting health information… or maybe you just want to spend a day somewhere beautiful, with good company and wonderful food (and enjoy the fabulous gift box you will take home). If so, then this is the retreat for you.

 

ON THE DAY

Please try to arrive by 8.45am, so that we can begin our day at 9am. When you arrive, you can register and find your name badge.  Help yourself to a glass of water, and then you have a few minutes to wander around the gorgeous garden and breathe deeply, letting go of the outside world and its worries.

We start the day with a leisurely and relaxed “getting to know you” circle. You can share a little about yourself, why you are here, and, if you want to, a little of what is challenging you.  This is a confidential space, and everything that is shared on this day, is requested to remain here. By all means, feel free to go away and tell other woman about your fabulous day, and even your own process…. but please remember to leave everyone else’s news and views out of your sharing.

The day is divided into several varied sessions between 30 minutes and one hour in length.  There will be some “head stuff” involving engaging of the brain and learning new skills to take away with you, and apply in your own life.  Then there’s the “heart stuff”…. talking, sharing, and also experiential exploring of mindfulness meditation, and restorative yoga (we have a fabulous experienced yoga teacher for this).

Your retreat day includes:

*Hormones 101 – are your hormones holding you ransom? How to take back your life and balance.

*Let your food be your medicine – my top twenty culinary healers (this will be a fun and practical session around the kitchen bench)

*A one hour restorative yoga class with relaxation (bendy legs not a pre-requisite)

* Weight wars and the answers. Intermittent fasting – what is it; how can it help you stay healthy; how to do it. Beating the sugar demons.

*Mindfulness meditation – what it is and isn’t. Some simple practices to take away with you.

*Discovering your personal values, and whether you are living your life in harmony with them. The power of gratitude, affirmations and journaling

*A special goodbye with a beautiful gift box containing almost $200 worth of high quality product, including a blissful half hour relaxation massage voucher, to be booked at your leisure.

 

REFRESHMENTS

Choose from a range of beautiful T2 teas, organic coffee and herb infused water, to quench your thirst. Healthy treats will be served mid afternoon.

Lunch is vegetarian, gluten and dairy free (and delicious), to meet everyone’s varying dietary needs. We have the choice of dining around a large table indoors, or under an open air gazebo outside, looking onto the garden and fields beyond. Lunch will be a leisurely hour, relaxing, enjoying a beautiful meal, good company and warm conversation.

 

A PERSONAL HEALTH APPRAISAL

Before retreat day I will email you the link to a comprehensive personal health appraisal questionnaire. Simply follow the instructions to complete it online. This is a secure site and your information remains confidential. Using this detailed information, I am able to recommend superior quality practitioner only nutritional and herbal products specific to your unique health picture. This is an optional service, included in the cost of your retreat.
